Are you adopted? Do you often lie awake at night wondering what your real parents sound and look like? I assume you do as you are reading this, I know it can be tough trying to find any little bit of information about them, you’re adopted parents probably won’t know and you don’t know where to start! There are so many things to do, to consider it’s a mess and this is why so many people give up.

The main way to look for a lost person or persons has been to actually travel around several places asking for information, information they won’t give you. The amount of money you would spend just getting to places would be enough to put most people off and it has probably stalled you. There is a new way to look for those persons you want, your parents. The internet has arrived and public records are being used more and more every day to find exactly what people want, for a fraction of the cost you would pay for a private detective or at a fraction of the money you would spend on travelling around the country. The answers available on the web are often much more than you could get yourself or even a detective could get, and it can all be done form your own home. The records cannot make you go and speak to your parents, but they are confidential and give you the information you want and the option to speak to them or not. You can discover where they live, whether they are still married and if they have a criminal record even! When you begin searching the you are looking for the birth certificate with your parents names on. Your real parents.

The online database that helps you find the birth record you want can also help you find where they live and where they have lived, along with a phone number to call them if you decide that is the next step you want to take.

This option is well worth it, you may be reading this thinking “I don’t want to know them”, that’s fine and I don’t think you should be forced to, but give this a go and just find out there names and where they live. If you decide still that you don’t want to meet them then it has all been done in private anyway.

The decision you make is completely up to you and no-one should be pressuring you. No matter what you decide, I wish you a good and happy future and if you do meet them, give them time to explain.
