The good thing about a bustling place like Orlando is that you are never out of things to do there. Whether it’s just hanging out or catching the sights or engaging in any fun activities, Orlando will almost always keep you busy. For some people, this active lifestyle is enough to make them just want to live in Orlando instead of just being a visitor.

If you’re one of those people, you might wonder, just exactly how hard will it be living and getting a job in Orlando? The answer is, not hard at all. Orlando is pretty much known as a place where the cost of living is low-about 21% below the national average. This means that you can pretty much extend the value of your dollar as opposed to staying in, say, California where standards and cost of living are pretty high.

The many theme parks and tourist attractions of Orlando would not function or operate accordingly without people managing and handling it. This means that theme parks and other tourist attraction companies need to hire people to work for them. Disney World for instance has 56,000 employees working for them. Just imagine how many other people are employed in Universal Studio, Sea World and other tourist attractions.

One of Orlando’s major attractions is the various theme parks and resorts that cater to these tourists and visitors. Such massive and large establishments need an equally large number of personnel to keep them running. For example, Disney World alone employs about 56,000 people. Now, consider the fact that Disney World is just one of the many parks that dot Orlando. There’s also Sea World and Universal Studios and it is really not much of a stretch to see just how many job opportunities you can have.

It’s not just the theme parks and resorts either. A surplus of tourists and visitors mean that there has to be places to accommodate them. Hotels and lodgings, therefore, are among the many industries that benefit from Orlando’s tourist boom. These hotels and lodgings need people to maintain them: housekeeping, restaurant chefs and waiters or waitresses; the list is almost endless. Add to that the fact that there are the normal establishments like government agencies, banks, schools and others. If you’re a professional, then you definitely will land a gig in Orlando.

So if you’re sitting on the fence on whether you should live in Orlando or not, get down. Orlando will always have something for you.
